Their roasts are almost too hard to choose from, but whatever choice you make, it\u2019ll be delicious. And they like to offer a chilled and relaxing day, to end your hard week. Plus, with board games and Sunday papers on offer, it\u2019ll help your dinner go down before tucking into their very tasty dessert menu. Oh Richard 1st, we love you.<\/p>\n (Islington)<\/em><\/p>\n How you imagine your Sunday to be: fed, watered and ultimately relaxed, is basically how The Albion<\/a> will make you feel. Their Sunday lunch is really popular, with a strong selection of starters, mains and desserts, and an option to share either 700gm rib of beef or whole roasted chicken for two. It\u2019s mouth-watering is The Albion. Just make sure to book a table in advance. Like really in advance!<\/p>\n (Highgate)<\/em><\/p>\n Smart and trendy, The Bull<\/a> offers some very delicious roast dishes. Their Irish beef is legendary, their Norfolk chicken is a winner, and their roasties are just well and truly roasted in all of the best ways possible. Basically, The Bull know what they\u2019re doing, and they\u2019re certainly not shy with all the trimmings either, making sure you leave full. And very Sunday satisfied.<\/p>\n (Clerkenwell)<\/em><\/p>\n We\u2019ve all got that one friend who for some reason prefers to eat anything but a roast (we know, why are we friends with them?!), so sometimes finding a spot to Sunday lunch and involve them, can be tricky.\u00a0Foxlow<\/a> keeps everyone happy. Slow roasted rump of beef, or a roast chicken with delicious roast potatoes, and traditional veg is perfection on a plate here. But their regular menu is also a winner for that friend (or you. We won’t judge much), and their cocktails are nice for a Sunday afternoon. And if you\u2019re after some top notch ones, let us introduce you to WB Yeats<\/a>. Cooked in beef dripping, their potatoes are so delicious that you\u2019ll almost consider ordering just extra of these. Although we\u2019d recommend saving some room for dessert as the Caramelised apple crumble is how Sundays should finish. Everyone is welcome at WB Yeats, which is good, as you\u2019ll find it hard to leave.<\/p>\n (Bethnal Green)<\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s a tricky dilemma: on one hand you want to get up early and head to Columbia Road Flower Market, but on the other hand, you\u2019re really itching for a proper roast. Enter The Royal Oak<\/a> who are here for your floral and food needs. Once you\u2019ve picked your blooms, weave your way through the downstairs crowd and set yourself upstairs for an afternoon of a good traditional roast. Water it all down with a craft beer or real ale, for the ultimate London Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n (Greenwich)<\/em><\/p>\n It might be a small pub, but that doesn\u2019t mean their roasts are. If you ask anyone in Greenwich, they\u2019ll tell you The Gipsy Moth<\/a> is the place to go because their beef is succulent, their chicken is the melt-in-your-mouth kind, and their Yorkshire puddings are something else. Oh and they sure don\u2019t scrimp on the gravy. Which is just the news we like to hear. 10\/10 Gipsy Moth.<\/p>\n (Kensington)<\/em><\/p>\n A Sunday roast is best served in a cosy, warm and homely setting and Maggie Jones\u2019s<\/a> is exactly that place. It\u2019s almost a little like having lunch at your nana\u2019s house with mismatched plates serving up a huge pile of great meat and their vegetables of the day. Locals in Kensington have been going for years, and we can really see why, because it\u2019s just like a Sunday hug basically – from the plate to the decor to that whole friendly feel during your lunch. We\u2019d Sunday lunch here all the time.<\/p>\n (City)<\/em><\/p>\n We\u2019re not in the way of changing a traditional roast, however sometimes a little different is good. And the Brigadiers<\/a> is worth a try (for us at least?). Whilst an Indian barbecue and beer venue, their Indian BBQ Sunday roasts are something else. You\u2019ll still find meat options, but they\u2019re just served with pappadums and chutney, AND you can add the option for free-flowing beer, cocktail or prosecco, so essentially you\u2019re bottomlessing whilst Sunday lunching. We really don\u2019t think it gets better than those two combined. Right?<\/p>\n (Stoke Newington)<\/em><\/p>\n There\u2019s quite a bit of decision making to be had at Lady Mildmay<\/a>. Firstly, it\u2019s where to sit – do you want to be by the doors with the natural light, or snuggled up on the sofa by the fire? Secondly, whether you\u2019re going to want to eat the rump of beef, chicken or the stilton and mushroom nut roast. And then thirdly, WHICH one of their flavoured gins to try. So many decisions, so many delights. You really won\u2019t be disappointed here, just make sure you\u2019re booked up well before the 4pm cut-off. Because they really will sell out.<\/p>\n (Hampstead)<\/em><\/p>\n We\u2019re all for that cosy village pub like feeling when we\u2019re tucking into our Yorkshire puddings dripping in gravy, and The Holly Bush<\/a> is the perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon. Here you\u2019ll find an open fire, one of the best cauliflower cheese dishes (so we think) to go alongside a variety of dishes, and a whole lot of desserts to choose from. Once your stomachs are full, The Holly Bush is located perfectly near Hampstead Heath to burn away those roasties.
