We are pleased to release our first Room Rental Index for Q1 looking at the cost of renting a room across the UK\u2019s major cities.<\/p>\n

After analysing the cost of thousands of spare rooms listed on the site, some patterns are beginning to emerge about the different prices across the country.<\/p>\n

The latest index shows that the average UK room rental cost is currently \u00a3535 per month, up 11% since Q1 of last year.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, the most expensive location when renting is the capital, with the average room in London costing a whopping \u00a3745 per month. Glasgow ranked second with a cost of \u00a3588, along with Bournemouth (\u00a3575), Cambridge (\u00a3562) and Leeds (\u00a3548).<\/p>\n
