You can list your property for free, however to reply to messages or send outbound messages you will need to become a member. Also, if you upgrade to a premium package, you will get more views on your listing compared to the free or basic plans.
We do everything we can to encourage replies, however sometimes a user may not reply to a message. We recommend allowing 48 hours to receive a reply, and moving on to another potential tenant/flatmate if you hear nothing.
The matching test is an optional tool to help flathunters and live-in landlords narrow down on the best possible flatmates. If you don’t live in the property, you don’t need to take it.
It is your responsibility to vet your tenants before they move in to your property. We can help you narrow down on users by location, budget and professional status, but you’ll need to check these facts properly before you allow them to move in.
The first step is to get your rooms listed by going to www.idealflatmate.co.uk/create. You can then wait for suitable tenants to find you. You can also get proactive and use our Flatmate Search feature www.idealflatmate.co.uk/search/flatmate to browse and contact suitable tenants by age, gender, desired location, budget and profession. You’ll need to be upgraded to one of our subscription plans to send outbound messages.
