A little about our home

We live in a lovely, spacious three-bedroom duplex with a garden, on a pretty, leafy residential road in Kensal Green. It’s a peaceful neighbourhood, but still really well connected, just a 5–10-minute walk from Willesden Junction station. There are plenty of lovely cafés, parks, local shops and a leisure centre within walking distance.

We take pride in keeping our home clean, tidy and comfortable. We’re a no-shoes household and have a regular weekly cleaner, which is included in the rent.

A little about us

My partner and I have recently opened our own restaurant nearby, so life is pretty busy! My partner spends a lot of time at the restaurant, while I tend to be home a little more. We’re usually around later in the mornings, so if you’re an early bird, you’ll often have the kitchen to yourself!

We’re both friendly, easy-going and sociable, but also enjoy our own space and respect others’ privacy. We also have a small, very friendly dog.

Who we’re looking for

Ideally, we’re looking for a working professional with a busy, independent lifestyle who works outside the home and enjoys having a peaceful, comfortable space to return to. Someone clean, tidy, considerate and easy-going, who’s happy to have the occasional chat but equally enjoys their own company.

As this is our own home, we’re looking for someone whose lifestyle fits naturally with ours. We’re not really looking for a social house-share, but rather someone who will feel at home while respecting each other’s space and routines.

We prefer not to have visitors we haven’t met coming into our home, so it would suit someone who tends to socialise with friends outside the flat. That said, we’re happy to be flexible for the occasional family visit. We have a spare room that we mainly use for our own belongings, but if you have a parent or family member visiting from abroad, for example, we’d be open to making it available for a small additional fee, arranged in advance.

Your room and living together

The room is lovely and spacious, with its own private bathroom and beautiful views. The sunsets are particularly gorgeous! It’s also quite separate from the rest of the flat, giving you your own peaceful space to relax and unwind.

You’re very welcome to use the shared kitchen, and we’d actually encourage it! We just ask that meals are enjoyed in the kitchen rather than the bedroom for hygiene reasons.

Although we have a weekly cleaner, we appreciate everyone keeping things clean and tidy in between.

We’re both open-minded and welcoming, and would be happy to share our home with someone from any background.

Ultimately, we’re looking for someone friendly, respectful and independent who will feel comfortable and at home here, while we all enjoy having our own space.
